Muy frio es muy caliente!

Woohoo- 6 days after the wedding and our marriage is stronger than ever! It's a good thing all is lovely between us because we're also falling deeply in love with Buenos Aires.

Our camera wasn't charged in time to take it out today, so we've only got indoor shots until tomorrow. The pics above are from our super cute apartment that we're renting in Ricoletta, it's like the Gold Coast in Chicago, only more glamorous and much cheaper. Oh, and apparently the dogs are as smart as humans and twice as trendy. They're so fancy they can't wear leashes or it will mess up their cashmere sweaters. They also relieve themselves all over the sidewalks and people seem to think it's cute. The weather is absolutely freezing to the locals who have bundled up and keep proclaiming how cold they are in the streets. The low 50's temp is actually making headlines. We think it feels great out- I mean, you can't even see your breath- that means summer to us!

We're so excited to learn that "honeymoon" in fact translates into "luna de miel" in Spanish. We looked this up on the plane to make sure we could advertise it to everyone we meet. Another wonderful discovery is that our local grocery store is called Disco. So you can tell everyone you're at the Disco and still come home with fresh fruit and candy.

Things we couldn't photograph today include numerous old palaces on Avenida Alvear, the Ricoletta cultural center, an ancient Franciscan monks' cloisters (now a church and art museum) and many many teenagers making out in public.
